Damn WordPress Hackers!
Thanks to some of you, we just realized that our WordPress installation is vulnerable and we’re currently figuring out what that specific issue is. We sincerely apologize for inconveniencing you with hacked, spam-infested posts, and we’ll share the lessons learned with you once this is settled.

Didn’t know people could hack wordpress! Thats a pain!
WordPress is hacked all the damn time. It’s like phpbb used to be, swiss cheese.
Which distribution are we talking about? version 2.6?
Wow! Didn’t know hackers can wreak this kind of havoc on my wordpress account. I think I might have to update the security on my blogs. Thank you for this bit of information.

The best you can do is generate random passwords (ie: E1962A0C) and update as soon as an update is released, anything else is wasted time and effort IMO.

Good ideas. Need to make experiment to see if the results are obvious.
I want to see how things can work with a threat of hacking, but any way we need to find out solution between that
in any type of account, regulary change passwords and use several combinations of lowercase and uppercase letters, make it alphanumeric if allowed.
Thanks for sharing the things. WordPress has so many advantages then any other blog thats why hacking is occurring.
I think hacking happens because wordpress has so many tool and one of the big things, wordpress blogs get cashed in Google very very good. So I think this is the reason word press blogs get hacked.
