The first four steps are pretty common in online marketing. However, keep reading for the final 3 steps, which are often forgotten about, yet bring the most value.
STEP 1: FIND
The first step is finding people who will be interested in your offer. There are many ways to do this — from Facebook, to Google, to SEO. Finding the right people will allow you to create content around the type of people you want to attract to your website.
STEP 2: REGISTER
Building a list is one of the most important steps in online marketing. Once you’ve invested your time and resources into finding the right people, you want to make sure you are increasing your list size by having them register.
Have a clear Call-to-Action and Value Proposition for people to give up their email address.
STEP 3: ENGAGEMENT
Having a proper engagement strategy will allow you to build and strengthen your relationship with your leads. You will focus on increasing the “know, like, and trust” with your visitors.
Build your credibility by letting people learn about you, by sharing case studies as proof of you, and how you can help them.
STEP 4: ENCOURAGE (TO BUY)
Once a relationship is built, encourage your leads to buy. This can be done through a Webinar, a video sales letter, or a live training with an offer on the end. You can also make an initial low priced sale to convert them from Visitor to Customer.

STEP 5: DELIVERING (AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE)
Nurturing your leads is an ongoing practice. Once they buy, you should continue on-boarding them in the right way, by delivering an amazing user experience.
If they signed up for a subscription, send an email asking them if they have logged in or have any questions with the material. If they purchased a product, tell them when they can expect the delivery. In any case, whether it’s a physical or digital sale, keep them updated with what’s happening next and share additional tips to keep spreading the love.

STEP 6: OFFERS
Loyal customers equals multiple purchases. Building a strong relationship with happy customers will keep them coming back for more and purchasing additional products or services.
The key here is to have an automated series of emails for every stage in their journey.
STEP 7: MAINTAIN (THE RELATIONSHIP)
Your goal is to maintain lifelong relationships with your customers through ongoing conversation. If you give value, share news about yourself, provide tips or books that you read, and share new industry tactics — you will have loyal and lifelong customers.
Keep them opening your emails and referring you to friends.
