I just wanted to share a killer new Google AdWords tip with you that I thought you might like to try. This one is a “power word” that has worked wonders for one of our Google AdWords campaigns. What is this killer word?
The secret AdWords word that is doing amazingly well for us is “killer”
Just take a look at the detailed results that we got below:
The only change between the two ads is that we added the word “killer” to the copy of the winning ad. In fact, we added it twice. The result? This Google AdWords tip really worked for this Ad Group. We saw a 30% boost in the click-through-rate of the ads that contained the keyword killer. Not only that, the conversion rate (sign-up rate) also went up by 65%!
So, we are now getting 30% more visitors and 65% more leads! Will this work every time? Of course not but finding power words and testing them is well worth it. The biggest surprise of this test was the increase in the conversion rate that we saw. A lot of time power words can get you more clicks but watch out and make sure that the new visitors also convert.
NOTE: This Google ad uses content matching which is why the CTR appears relatively low. The CTR for the search network for the ads as between 2-4%.
