How to start mastering Google AdWords

Every online marketer wants know how to start mastering Google AdWords.  However, very few actually know what it takes.  We have been mastering Google AdWords for a long time and have identified two key secrets that we are about to share.

The first secret to mastering Google AdWords is:  You need a world class process and a winning system

Here are four criteria you can use to judge if you have a winning system!

  • It increases your profits, and cuts back on your AdWords spending.
  • You spend way less time on AdWords! The time-consuming tasks are automated.
  • THE SYSTEM CAN BE APPLIED IN ANY ONLINE MARKET NICHE!

If you don’t know what a winning system looks like, don’t try to fake it because you will be crushed by the Google AdWords advertisers that have already started mastering Google AdWords because they have a winning system in place.

The second secret to mastering Google AdWords is:  Test everything and never stop testing

I am shocked at how few Google AdWords Advertisers actually test their Google AdWords campaigns, ad groups, and ad copy.  Here is one example of a recent Google AdWords test.  We tested the following two ads below.

In one ad we had a more descriptive headline vs. a headline that only contained the keyword phrase that we targeting (ebook covers).  However, this campaign was primarily for “content ads” so these ads are surfaced on blogs and other websites.  I was pretty sure that the desriptive ad would do far better because it provided more information.

However, our tests revealed the opposite.

What is the lesson?  If you want to start mastering Google AdWords, get a winning AdWords System and then test everything.
