Here is powerful tip that I just came across for Google AdWords. Try to flip your headline around and see what difference it makes.
I was optimizing one Google Ad Group for the keyword phrase “Meditation Music” and I was pretty much certain that the headline “meditation music” would be the winning headline by a long shot. That is because it directly matches the keyword phrase.
However, once again, I was completely surprised by the results:
The winning headline turned out to be “Music for meditation” and not “meditation music.” While I am not sure why it does 100% better, it really does not matter because the goal is to keep on testing and tweaking until you end up with a winner.
This sure fire headline boosted both the click-through-rate a well as the conversion rate by over 100% leading to a total boost in ROI of 200%++.
